If you want to have an in-demand skill for any equestrian discipline, then this is
the course for you. This is a six-month program, not a one- or two-week program. The program is a NO-nonsense course that concentrates on corrective, restorative, balance and performance therapies that will absolutely make any equine you apply it to perform better. That's your market. If you can make a horse perform better, you will be sought-after. We don't waste time on nonproductive, vague therapies, such as craniosacral, shiatsu or so-called "sports" massage, and we do not teach you how to do a full-body massage on a horse - that's all nonsense. This program gives you the knowledge and skills to go out and make a difference in the equine world.
The field of true performance therapy is wide open.
DESCRIPTION
Including fieldwork, 120 hours of credit and 48 category B CEUs are issued upon completion. Along with a comprehensive
study of the theories and applications of
equine anatomy, physiology, pathology and
movement (kinesiology), this program also provides you with positive skills in the assessment and application of specific manual (massage) therapies that will produce positive results and improve any equine’s performance in all disciplines. Of course, basic massage is covered; however, once that is mastered (in about 2 hours), we then move you into specific corrective and restorative therapies that produce results. You will learn and be skilled in both the assessment (how to find) and manual therapy (massage) that is used to correct and restore damaged muscle and tendon tissue. You will gain skills in the specific hands-on application of:
- Basic Massage Therapy
- Trigger Point (Tr.P.) Therapy
- Muscle/Tendon Stress Point (St.P.) Therapy
- Scar Tissue Repair (Deep Tissue) Therapy
- Myofascial Release (Joint) Therapy
The above therapies, when applied by themselves or in combinations, produce remarkable results in all equines. We always prove in the field what we teach in our programs, and we work on some of the world’s most valuable equines.
